New Moon Solar Eclipse on January 26th

"It is the New Moon in Aquarius, the time of the year when we focus on personal and cultural ideals. We feel inspired and want to manifest the greatest potential for our lives, our community, and our planet; we want to stop being bound by our egos and feel free. We wonder, how can we help the poor, free people from war, and elevate the human spirit? This year's New Moon in Aquarius has four planets, Moon, and North Node of the Moon in Aquarius, which intensifies this desire for Aquarian high ideals. Deep inside we all know that a better world is coming, so we strive to discover our part in the great mystery play, here at the end of the Mayan Calendar. This lunar phase will be memorable and inspiring, which is very welcome after the dour and difficult Capricorn lunation we have just lived through. As I said on Heartlink Radio the other day, if you are still standing and have your sanity now, you are in for a treat during the Aquarius/Leo eclipses. Considering the previous Capricorn lunation, many of you have experienced a great shift in some fundamental area of your life. What changed in a big way? How are you going to change yourself now?

This year's Aquarius New Moon occurs six days after the Inauguration of Barack Obama, the man who calmly and patiently focused on very high ideals throughout his whole campaign. Because of his reassuring peacefulness and strength, the whole world is hoping that Obama can cleanse the horrific, negative fields conjured up by the Bush/Cheney regime. I will examine this New Moon to see how its frequencies can be used as a potent tool to clear out American political toxicity. The whole world must get back on course; thus, each one of us needs to realize that we can move mountains this month by taking advantage of this great Aquarian power.

I am opting for a political analysis because Saturn in Virgo is elevated and in significant aspect to most planets. This reading considers the January 20th Inauguration chart as well as major aspects to the 1776 USA Founding Chart. [See my Methodology for the 1776 chart, and note that the Inauguration chart is cast for 12:30 PM, January 20, 2009, Washington, DC.] The Inauguration was supposed to occur at 12 noon, when the Moon was void-of-course in 29 Scorpio. But, first the swearing on Lincoln's Bible was delayed until 12:07 by a magnificent string quartet, the perfect reflection of Obama's lack of fear about the exact power transfer. Secondly, Obama brought the real power into himself right at 12:27 PM when he finished his speech-exactly when the Moon went into Sagittarius and Jupiter in 3 Aquarius was exact on the MC. And thirdly, my interpretation of the transition is supported by the flap over the Supreme Court chief justice, John Roberts, muddling Obama's oath of office, that resulted in him redoing the swearing-in ceremony the next day. The facts are: Obama took his power by his brilliant speech, not from the Supreme Court, the entity that played the role of Judas to the American people by allowing Bush to win Florida, and the election, in November 2000.

Other astrologers may disagree with my interpretation of the timing, but it was Bush who was void-of-course in Scorpio, and the string quartet at 12 noon transmuted this atavistic force. Then, during his speech, Obama flushed the Bush/Cheney cabal right down the Potomac and out to sea. Note that I am reading house positions in the chart cast for Washington, DC, as posted here. I usually skip house analysis in order to avoid over-emphasizing America, but this New Moon is Obama's first significant catalyst. During the New Moon in Washington, DC, six days after this extraordinary president takes over, the potential for a virtual rewiring of political systems in the US is a distinct possibility. I really have never seen astrology flow so consistently with the times, which makes visible the direct flow of divine consciousness into Earth.

We begin with the New Moon in Aquarius, which is located in the third house of communications and connecting with others, along with Jupiter, North Node, Chiron, and Neptune in Aquarius. Jupiter was conjunct the Sun on January 23, just a few days after the Inauguration, which inspired great hope for material improvements, a change of ideals, and clear communications from Washington. Obama's natal Jupiter is 1 Aquarius, and he just had his Jupiter Return on January 9, showing that he easily encourages the public to hope for the return of peace and plenty [Barack Obama: 7:24 PM, AHST, August 4, 1961, Honolulu, Hawaii]. Hope, clarity, and the desire to be connected have returned, and were cemented right into the Washington, DC, sacred site matrix during the Inauguration; and now the New Moon releases these desires in the people's hearts. Strikingly, the New Moon in 6 Aquarius is combust the South Node of the 1776 Chart. This means that this New Moon resonates with the intentions of the original founders. Confused politicians may remember why they have the job once the original laws are honored again. Chiron/Neptune quincunx Saturn circulate mystical beliefs that we can heal our hearts by creating new structures that express the pure potential of Virgo elevated to oneness.

Chiron conjunct Neptune in Aquarius opens the people to the healing powers of spiritual inspiration that flow through Obama. Neptune has been in Aquarius since 1998 and will remain until 2012; and Neptune is the defining planet of the Galactic Underworld (1999-2011). As soon as the Galactic Underworld opened in early 1999, our minds, hearts, and cells began being stretched and warped by galactic energy waves from the center of our Milky Way Galaxy-and these high-energy waves were modulated by Neptune in Aquarius. Now I can see that these waves are opening our minds so that we can re-enter "Universe Society," as described by Alfred Lambrement Webre in his book Exopolitics, which studies Earth's political relationship with the whole universe. [See The Mayan Code: Time Acceleration and Awakening the World Mind.] Webre posits, as have I as well, that our species has been quarantined from the rest of the cosmos because we've become a violent and warlike species. We will never be invited back into our greater cosmic family until we stop killing each other. Neptune in Aquarius has been gradually wearing down egoic resistance to the greater wisdom of our cosmic ancestors, and the Chiron/Neptune conjunctions in Aquarius during 2008 and 2009 have been healing our separation pain. During 2009, Jupiter conjuncts both Chiron and Neptune three times in Aquarius, which will expand our ability to move beyond being an isolated and wounded species.

Cast for Washington, DC, the second house in Sagittarius is extremely fascinating with Pluto, Mars, and Mercury retrograde intercepted in Capricorn. These three goats-Pluto ruling the Underworld, Mars ruling the world of power, and Mercury ruling our mental acuity-are stuck in this intransigent, out-of-time interception, which perfectly expresses the extreme level of resistance to releasing power and control gripping many politicians. Of course, this is always a big problem when power is transferred, so Obama's scathing and brilliant verbal dismissal of Bush (sitting right behind him), set the tone for the game.

Luckily, astrology sheds light on these control processes that must be quickly transformed before gridlock and static take over. Speaking of the really big issues that emerged during the Capricorn lunation, Israel invaded Gaza with the total support of the US and many Western allies during the December 27th Capricorn New Moon, and then Mars conjuncted Pluto the next day. The bloodshed and suffering in Gaza has created great anger that has damaged the hopes for peace in the Middle East. Yet, this may be the darkest day before the dawn, since Mercury retrogrades over Mars soon after the Aquarian New Moon; this signals the possibility of radical new insights. I ask each one of you to go deeply into your hearts and ask whether it is worth destroying the whole planet for a National Underworld religious belief? Mars goes into Aquarius February 5 during the second Saturn/Uranus opposition, which favors the return of idealism and hope for all humanity. A new time lens is intersecting our dimension that is designed to create great disgust for the lowest expression of Mars conjunct Pluto in Capricorn: genocide. The highest expression of Mars conjunct Pluto is compassion arising from negotiation and mediation, and the respect for law.

The president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has stated repeatedly that his country's problems with Israel are mostly caused by America's unquestioning financial and political support for everything the Israelis do, which destabilizes the whole Middle East. Ahmadinejd cannot be ignored any more now that we are living out Day Six of the Galactic Underworld. Looking back to Day Six of the National Underworld (AD 829-1223), note that the Muslim Islamic culture inspired Europe to come out of the Dark Ages at that time. The light of Western culture had nearly gone out, just like American culture had darkened under Bush/Cheney. This interception of the "three goats" means we must consider deep lessons from the past available in the previous Day Sixes of the first seven Underworlds. Capricorn rules resources, particularly oil, and the planetary use of resources will be totally transformed while Pluto is in Capricorn to AD 2024. A new direction in America's relationship with Israel must be sought in light of soon-to-come problems with oil supplies. The financial collapse will constrain America's economic and political influence in the greater world, so hard choices have to be made now. Whatever happens, the second house in the chart cast for Washington is a bit like a big stink bomb that could draw the new US administration away from its most pressing problem-the monumental financial meltdown. Mars and Mercury in Capricorn trine Saturn, so at least power will be used with insight as the stink bomb vents.

Moving to the fourth house cast for Washington, DC, Uranus conjuncts Venus in Pisces opposing Saturn in Virgo. Venus was exactly conjunct Uranus on January 22, just shortly after the January 20 Inauguration, which signaled a major heart opening-and that is what actually happened during the Inauguration itself. Uranus has been in Pisces since 2003, which has inspired humanity to discover the kind of deep compassion that blasts our hearts open, and Uranus will remain in Pisces until March 2011. Now Uranus is joined by Venus in Pisces-her most exalted position-and women now lead, either on the stage or behind the scenes. Venus/Uranus in the fourth house says that compassion is flooding each home and lighting each hearth-the ideal way to transform the world. Isn't it fascinating that Hillary Clinton, who has always been a major supporter of Israel, could be the one to help negotiate a peace? To imagine how these changes could possibly happen, it is time to examine Saturn, which looms over all the planets grouped into planetary pairs in the second, third, and fourth houses. Saturn sits in his ultimate power position, the tenth house. Obama embodies Saturn now, since his natal Saturn in 25 Capricorn conjuncts Mars/Mercury, which are all right on Pluto in Capricorn in the 1776 USA Founding Chart.

Saturn retrograde in Virgo and elevated in the tenth house trines Mars/Mercury in Capricorn, quincunxes Chiron/Neptune in Aquarius, and opposes Uranus/Venus in Pisces. Saturn rules order, control, and structures, and when Saturn is in Virgo every 29 years, cultures always develop new systems while old ones drop away. Saturn went into Virgo in September 2007, just when the financial cracks became visible. Now, Saturn in Virgo opposed by Uranus in Pisces is toppling many systems-such as wasteful consumerism and destructive manufacturing. Saturn opposes Uranus about every 42 years, and this is when we experience the greatest levels of change and transformation, such as during the previous oppositions in1965-66. This combination of Saturn in Virgo opposite Uranus in Pisces is the bowling ball that is knocking down the pins of the 5,125-year long National Underworld. So, who is throwing the ball, and what is being knocked over?

Saturn retrograde in 21 Virgo sits right on Neptune in the 1776 USA chart where Neptune in Virgo exactly squares Mars in Gemini. This Neptune/Mars square causes the USA to be fantasy ridden about ruling the whole world by getting stuck in foreign wars that it can't win. We're always right, so listen to us or else! There were major aspects to the 1776 Neptune square by Saturn in Gemini during the War in Vietnam that included Saturn/Uranus oppositions, just like our current time. Eventually the US will learn its lesson, or it will just go out of existence during its Pluto Return in 28 Capricorn in 2022. The Pluto Return of the US has just begun with the ingress of Pluto into Capricorn in November 2008 just after the first Saturn/Uranus opposition, exactly when Obama won the presidency. And, Obama is the man of the hour because his natal Mars in 23 Virgo is right on the 1776 USA Neptune. Since Saturn is in 21 Virgo, Obama is having a Saturn transit on his Mars conjunct the 1776 USA Neptune. Thus, Obama has no illusions about America's foreign wars, and his only problem is negotiating through the deeply entrenched fantasies. His Mars in Virgo trines his natal Saturn in Capricorn, which means he will not quit until he lances this suicidal fantasy with peace in the Middle East as the lynch pin.

So, how are we going to cause and/or handle the great changes that are called for by this remarkable astrology and the cycles of the Mayan Calendar? After all, this is a very close solar eclipse that even pulls in Jupiter. During a solar eclipse, the Moon blocks the Sun's light: Archetypal realms flood our consciousness, making possible rapid and permanent changes in our brains. Jupiter is the home of the mastery schools, the great wisdom keepers who guide us during difficult times. The only other insights I can offer come out of my own experiences. In this lifetime, I have been gifted with the opportunity to chronicle my path and to observe whether what I have seen is accurate, meaningful, or even valuable to other people. During the Capricorn lunation, I was gifted with an astonishing confirmation of the value of Carl Johan Calleman's discovery and my own exposition of it in The Mayan Code, that I would like to share.

Back in 2006 when I was finishing The Mayan Code, I stretched myself as far as possible to imagine what would be going on in 2009-2011. Since then I've been watching to see if some or more of what I said was correct in some way. The main subject discussed about Day Six was Exopolitics (see pages 180-185), and I suggested that we would really see the quarantine from Universe Society start to break down this year. So, I was very intrigued when Alfred Webre asked me to go on his radio show (www.exopoliticsradio.com). Before the show, Webre sent me files on the discovery of human and animal forms on Mars in a November 2007 NASA photo. NASA has been trying to cover up this find, while science in general focuses on Martian methane plumes. Meanwhile, the founder of the Mars Anomaly Research Society (MARS), Andrew Basiago, is challenging NASA by publicizing his discoveries of humanoid beings, animals, carved statues, built structures, and a huge human skull in the 2007 NASA photo! You will have to search this out yourselves on exopolitics.com, where you will see that the photos are quite amazing.

As for my own research, I have been totally frustrated by NASA's cover-up of the Face on Mars and the nearby geometrical structures. More recently, I think the information in Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA (2007) by Richard Hoagland and Mike Bara ought to have been on the front pages of newspapers and on the evening news. The authors have thoroughly exposed NASA as a cabal of Masons who blow taxpayer dollars while keeping the public in the dark. They present strong evidence for an advanced civilization on the Moon that NASA has been exploring! Well, if there is any proof of civilization on the other planets or in other solar systems, Exopolitics takes over! Once Exopolitics becomes our largest political envelope, then war, genocide, and planetary destruction end, and cooperation with all life begins.

Concurrent with the Mars discovery, right when we went into Day Six, Science published evidence for a great extraterrestrial impact around 12,000 years ago (ie, the Great Extinctions) that is written by a group of geologists led by James Kennett who exposed a layer of nanodiamonds they call "Diamond Rain." This is, of course, more proof for my claims in Catastrophobia, my 2001 book, that explored a great cataclysm 11,500 years ago that caused our species to become a mass-traumatized and violent species. In other words, the cause of our quarantine and the evidence for intelligent life in the rest of the universe are coming forth during Day Six, exactly as predicted in The Mayan Code.

I have described these discoveries because I think we cannot change unless we see what we are missing. If Earth's people knew that a civilization was destroyed on Mars and the Moon, they would realize our civilization could also cease to exist. We must now open our minds to these suppressed truths that the powers-that-be twist into lies that they use to keep us in fear; a recent example is Mel Gibson's "Signs," his film about crop circles and little green men.

Obama is signaling that the "War on Terror" is over, a term that was used to avoid focusing on immediate problems and as a cover for the real terrorist-Dick Cheney. The astrology for the Aquarius solar eclipse indicates we will be able to open ourselves to welcoming and accepting the whole Universe in order to move beyond this limited Earthly perspective. The Leo Full Moon on February 9 is also an eclipse, but this time, the light of the Moon is obscured, offering us greater access to our left-brain powers of identification. During the Full Moon, Chiron/Neptune in Aquarius are exactly conjunct the Sun, which means we will be healed by great spiritual insights during this second eclipse, so receive it. It is easier to accept the truth than to keep on defending the lies, which would be a great epithet for George W. Bush's presidential tombstone."
