Freedom from Fear

by Owen Waters

Fear is the great separator of mind from spirit. While you fear, you are unable to trust your divine origin. It follows that people who pressure you to fear things in life want to keep you away from the power of your inner connection so that they may gain some kind of power over you.

Love neutralizes fear. At the human level of consciousness, love and fear are opposites. Fear will drive out love. Love will drive out fear. You choose which one you wish to concentrate your focus upon. You choose whether you will give your energy to love or to fear.

The Antidote to Fear

Giving thanks is the expression of gratitude, and gratitude is one of the most beautiful secrets in spiritual life.

Gratitude is an expression of love, and love is something which flows from the Creator of the universe through all forms of life and all forms of manifestation. Without love, life in the universe cannot exist. Love is the universal force of preservation which holds creation in manifestation.

The Natural Flow of Love

Love is as natural as the universe. By design, there is a tension between the forces of creation and universal love. It is this tension which controls the size of the universe, holding it within its envelope. It is this tension which regulates the size of an electron’s orbit around a nucleus. Love is the force which retains electrons in their orbits, making atoms possible and therefore the existence of life as we know it.

You can block love, or you can allow it to flow naturally through you. Falling in love with another person is an allowance of the flow of love through your heart. In a world where everything has the appearance of separateness, it is a surrender to the underlying unity of all life. It is a place of apparent vulnerability, a willingness to take the risk that the illusion of separation will once again return if that love is later lost.

When you allow your heart to open to the universe’s flow of love, gratitude comes with that flow. Gratitude for being alive, for just existing, for just being in the flow of the adventure of life. Gratitude for the Sun that gives us life. Gratitude for the Earth that gives us our home in the cosmos. Gratitude for the people that you love, and for those who share your journey through life.

Gratitude flows unimpeded from an open heart. When you allow it, it flows as freely as the sunshine, unobstructed by judgments or conditions.

Overcome Your Ego

by Wayne Dyer

Here are seven suggestions to help you transcend ingrained ideas of self-importance. All of these are designed to help prevent you from falsely identifying with the self-important ego.

1. Stop being offended.

The behavior of others isn’t a reason to be immobilized. That which offends you only weakens you. If you’re looking for occasions to be offended, you’ll find them at every turn. This is your ego at work convincing you that the world shouldn't be the way it is. But you can become an appreciator of life and match up with the universal Spirit of Creation. You can’t reach the power of intention by being offended. By all means, act to eradicate the horrors of the world, which emanate from massive ego identification, but stay in peace. As A Course in Miracles reminds us: Peace is of God, you who are part of God are not at home except in his peace. Being is of God, you who are part of God are not at home except in his peace. Being offended creates the same destructive energy that offended you in the first place and leads to attack, counterattack, and war.

2. Let go of your need to win.

Ego loves to divide us up into winners and losers. The pursuit of winning is a surefire means to avoid conscious contact with intention. Why? Because ultimately, winning is impossible all of the time. Someone out there will be faster, luckier, younger, stronger, and smarter-and back you’ll go to feeling worthless and insignificant.

You’re not your winnings or your victories. You may enjoy competing, and have fun in a world where winning is everything, but you don’t have to be there in your thoughts. There are no losers in a world where we all share the same energy source. All you can say on a given day is that you performed at a certain level in comparison to the levels of others on that day. But today is another day, with other competitors and new circumstances to consider. You’re still the infinite presence in a body that’s another day (or decade) older. Let go of needing to win by not agreeing that the opposite of winning is losing. That’s ego’s fear. If your body isn’t performing in a winning fashion on this day, it simply doesn’t matter when you aren’t identifying exclusively with your ego. Be the observer, noticing and enjoying it all without needing to win a trophy. Be at peace, and match up with the energy of intention. And ironically, although you’ll hardly notice it, more of those victories will show up in your life as you pursue them less.

3. Let go of your need to be right.

Ego is the source of a lot of conflict and dissension because it pushes you in the direction of making other people wrong. When you’re hostile, you’ve disconnected from the power of intention. The creative Spirit is kind, loving, and receptive; and free of anger, resentment, or bitterness. Letting go of your need to be right in your discussions and relationships is like saying to ego, I’m not a slave to you. I want to embrace kindness, and I reject your need to be right. In fact, I’m going to offer this person a chance to feel better by saying that she’s right, and thank her for pointing me in the direction of truth.

When you let go of the need to be right, you’re able to strengthen your connection to the power of intention. But keep in mind that ego is a determined combatant. I’ve seen people end otherwise beautiful relationships by sticking to their need to be right. I urge you to let go of this ego-driven need to be right by stopping yourself in the middle of an argument and asking yourself, Do I want to be right or be happy? When you choose the happy, loving, spiritual mood, your connection to intention is strengthened. These moments ultimately expand your new connection to the power of intention. The universal Source will begin to collaborate with you in creating the life you were intended to live.

4. Let go of your need to be superior.

True nobility isn’t about being better than someone else. It’s about being better than you used to be. Stay focused on your growth, with a constant awareness that no one on this planet is any better than anyone else. We all emanate from the same creative life force. We all have a mission to realize our intended essence; all that we need to fulfill our destiny is available to us. None of this is possible when you see yourself as superior to others. It’s an old saw, but nonetheless true: we are all equal in the eyes of God. Let go of your need to feel superior by seeing the unfolding of God in everyone. Don’t assess others on the basis of their appearance, achievements, possessions, and other indices of ego. When you project feelings of superiority that’s what you get back, leading to resentments and ultimately hostile feelings. These feelings become the vehicle that takes you farther away from intention. A Course in Miracles addresses this need to be special and superior: Special ness always makes comparisons. It is established by a lack seen in another, and maintained by searching for, and keeping clear in sight, all lacks it can perceive.

5. Let go of your need to have more.

The mantra of ego is more. It’s never satisfied. No matter how much you achieve or acquire, your ego will insist that it isn’t enough. You’ll find yourself in a perpetual state of striving, and eliminate the possibility of ever arriving. Yet in reality you’ve already arrived, and how you choose to use this present moment of your life is your choice. Ironically, when you stop needing more, more of what you desire seems to arrive in your life. Since you’re detached from the need for it, you find it easier to pass it along to others, because you realize how little you need in order to be satisfied and at peace.

The universal Source is content with itself, constantly expanding and creating new life, never trying to hold on to its creations for its own selfish means. It creates and lets go. As you let go of ego’s need to have more, you unify with that Source. You create, attract to yourself, and let it go, never demanding that more come your way. As an appreciator of all that shows up, you learn the powerful lesson St.Francis of Assisi taught:”…it is in giving that we receive.” By allowing abundance to flow to and through you, you match up with your Source and guarantee that this energy will continue to flow.

6. Let go of identifying yourself on the basis of your achievements.

This may be a difficult concept if you think you are your achievements. God writes all the music, God sings all the songs, God builds all the buildings, God is the source of all your achievements. I can hear your ego loudly protesting. Nevertheless, stay tuned to this idea. All emanates from Source! You and that Source are one! You’re not this body and its accomplishments. You are the observer. Notice it all; and be grateful for the abilities you’ve accumulated. But give all the credit to the power of intention, which brought you into existence and which you’re a materialized part of. The less you need to take credit for your achievements and the more connected you stay to the seven faces of intention, the more you’re free to achieve, and the more will show up for you. It’s when you attach yourself to those achievements and believe that you alone are doing all of those things that you leave the peace and the gratitude of your Source.

7. Let go of your reputation.

Your reputation is not located in you. It resides in the minds of others. Therefore, you have no control over it at all. If you speak to 30 people, you will have 30 reputations. Connecting to intention means listening to your heart and conducting yourself based on what your inner voice tells you is your purpose here. If you’re overly concerned with how you’re going to be perceived by everyone, then you’ve disconnected yourself from intention and allowed the opinions of others to guide you. This is your ego at work. It’s an illusion that stands between you and the power of intention. There’s nothing you can’t do, unless you disconnect from the power source and become convinced that your purpose is to prove to others how masterful and superior you are and spend your energy attempting to win a giant reputation among other egos. Do what you do because your inner voice always connected to and grateful to your Source-so directs you. Stay on purpose, detach from outcome, and take responsibility for what does reside in you: your character. Leave your reputation for others to debate; it has nothing to do with you. Or as a book title says: What You Think of Me Is None of My Business!

Spiritual Aliveness

by Owen Waters

Spiritual aliveness is the result of making your spirituality
the day's number one priority. Achieving this is fairly simple
- as simple as being aware of one or two secrets of the
universe and then setting your intention for each day.

Life is an expression of your spiritual self. You are here to
gain experience on a grand scale. The small details of daily
existence may not seem important, but they are all threads in
the grand scheme of the life that you, as your inner self,
planned before you were born.

It makes sense, therefore, to begin each day by becoming
charged with the best supply of life energy available. Then
you can make the most of each day's experiences as they
unfold. Life energy, or etheric energy, is the main energy
transmitted by the Sun. The Sun also radiates physical energy,
such as light and heat, but the amount of physical energy
pales in comparison to the amount of life-supporting, etheric
energy which courses through our bodies.

At dawn each day, the Sun brings a great change to your local
environment. The swing from darkness to light at dawn causes a
turbulence in the ethers as the life energy in the atmosphere
reorganizes itself for a day of new activity. Sunrise is the
time of nature's awakening. It is the best possible time to
recharge yourself for each new day of activity.

By beginning your day with a connection to the Sun's energy,
you are actually aligning with the natural system of Creation.
Infinite Being constantly feeds the universe with life energy
in order to maintain all motion in the universe. Infinite
Being sends the energy needed to maintain life through the
central sun of the universe. From there, it works its way
through the central suns of the galaxies and then through the
suns of each solar system. Local suns radiate physical energy
in addition to life energy.

In a world where people's main focus on life comes through
their five physical senses, the Sun takes on a great
significance.

The Sun is the closest thing to Infinite Being within our
sight.

What better way to start your day, than to breath in the power
of this mighty orb as it awakens you and your surroundings to
the energy of the new day?

Here's how to achieve this, with one simple addition to the
Infinite Being Meditation technique:

On each in-breath, visualize white light, representing life
energy from the Sun, coming into your body via your nostrils.
See this white light as filling your entire body every time
you inhale.

This fills your whole being with extra life energy because
air is a carrier medium for etheric energy. Etheric energy
is highly responsive to directed mental pressure so, once
the air is inside your lungs, the power of your visualization
can be used to direct the life energy to fill your entire
body. The energy will automatically follow your mental
direction.

Here is the Infinite Being Meditation technique, revised to
include the life energy charging technique:

1. Focus your attention on the slow, even flow of breath as
it passes in and out of your nostrils.

2. Visualize each in-breath as white light filling your body.
Then, at the top of each in-breath, mentally repeat once the
affirmation "I am Infinite Being."

3. On the out-breath, allow your attention to follow the flow
of air from your nostrils. To induce an immediate calming
effect, slow each out-breath and allow it to take up to twice
as long as each in-breath.

4. Hold the breath out of your body, if possible for as long
as the out-breath. In this quiet space, don't think, just be.
Become quietly aware of thoughts and impressions that may
arise from your inner self. The end of each breath cycle thus
becomes your personal communion space with your inner being.

5. Return to active intention by starting the breath cycle
again at step 1.

Start your twenty-minute meditation and charging session each
day, ten minutes before dawn. If dawn is at, say,
approximately 7:10 am, then you would plan to start your day
with meditation from 7:00 - 7:20 am. Reorganize your daily
schedule around the most important natural event of the day.
The deeper connection to nature is well worth the effort. At
least once a week, check when sunrise occurs by referring to
the news media, or to weather sites such as weather.com.
Then you can be in tune with the greatest cosmic forces of
revitalization that occur each and every day.

Make meditation at dawn your number one priority of the day.
Then everything that follows will be more energized and more
in tune with who you really are.

Energetically, the highlight of every day is dawn. It is truly
a magical time.

Sunspot Alert

NEW SUNSPOT: A "new-cycle" sunspot belonging to Solar Cycle 24 is emerging near the sun's northeastern limb. This is the third time in as many weeks that a new-cycle sunspot has interrupted the year's remarkable run of blank suns. The accelerating pace of new-cycle sunspot production is an encouraging sign that, while solar activity remains very low, the sunspot cycle is unfolding more or less normally. We are not stuck in a permanent solar minimum. Readers with solar telescopes should train them on the sun this weekend to observe sunspot genesis in action.

AURORA WATCH: Sky watchers from Alaska to Scandinavia should be alert for auroras tonight. A solar wind stream is buffeting Earth's magnetic field and causing high-latitude geomagnetic storms.

Challenges Facing the Earth - RIGHT NOW

There is no doubt that the energy on the planet has been chaotic and very challenging in the last few days. This is not unexpected, since we have been warned that the changes to the economic realities on the planet could be disruptive and difficult. In fact, as we move into this phase of physical restructuring of the way that we live, we are facing some very fundamental challenges to the way in which we think.

However, before we go into that side of things, it is important to remember that we have come this far with the changes and transitions on the Planet without any major disasters or catastrophes, and there is no reason to start now. We have been promised that the changes will be peaceful as far as possible, and we need to hold that intention. There is no need for suffering and hardship, there is enough for everyone. Instead of going into panic, we need to hold the intention and focus that there is enough for everyone and that all will be cared for.

The economic system on the planet is the most powerful determinant of how we live and the choices that we make, or the lack of choice that we sometimes feel and perceive. It is based ultimately on fear and illusion and greed. It was created on the basis of survival fear. At some point humans decided to cut themselves off from Divine Guidance and put their survival trust in money. And so they built huge financial institutions such as bank and insurance companies and health companies in the belief that these would protect them and ensure their survival. And of course, this is an illusion, for money is not what ensures survival and growth and happiness, it is just an illusion that we have created, and which we have come to believe in so firmly that when this illusion is challenged, then we go into survival panic.

The present financial melt-down is ocurring because people are becoming aware that the economic system has largely failed them, and that it is in fact an illusion. That is not to say that we can do without it right now, as we have all been drawn into the way it works. But, we are withdrawing from the illusion that this is the only way it has to be and the only way we can survive. We have seen a few growing very rich, and the rest living in hardship and poverty. We know this is not what is intended for the planet. The original blueprint was formulated with everyone having enough and having the ability to manifest and create what they needed for themselves. It is the economic system that gets in the way of this process by limiting people to what can be supplied by the system that they have become a part of.

So, instead of seeing these events as precursors to another great depression and suffering and hardship, perhaps we can begin to see how we will start to restructure the way we live and the choices that we make. We will begin to once again trust in our Higher Self and our ability to manifest what we need and to be provided with what we need from day to day. I think that we will find that we will begin to see small miracles as we once again take back our Power and begin to see how we can empower ourselves and others to create what we want and need for ourselves in our lives. Yes, this may mean that we will have to rethink our sense of community and how we live together and how we help each other. It may mean that we will have to give up our faith in our bank account as a determinant of our well-being and security, although many of us have been doing that for a while now. But, we will find other ways of ensuring that we have what we need, for the Planet is abundant and has more than enough to support everyone, if we do not create and manufacture illusions of lack and scarcity.

It is indeed time to take back our Power to Create and Trust that all will be well.

We need to begin to focus our intention on what will come next, a system of sharing and support in which every person on the planet will have Abundance and Peace and will live in the only true reality, Love.

And, we can know that we will be challenged by the survival fear and the hysteria that will break out as the old system breaks down and the illusions at the core are revealed. And when we can truly see the illusions, and the fear, then we can walk away and begin to create something else, something more aligned with our right to be here and our right to be provided with everything that we need and desire.

This will be the new fundamental reality on which we will create the New Earth of Peace and Abundance for All.

The Healing Power of Spiritual Light

by Owen Waters

The Buddha spent many years trying to understand evil and
suffering. He eventually concluded that the only real power in
the universe is the Creator and that all else is illusion and
therefore has little or no power in comparison.

He then went on to counsel people to adopt the middle way in
order to avoid being sucked into illusion and bringing
suffering upon themselves. He saw attachment to things of the
world as the source of suffering, so he advised people to be a
part of the world, yet not attached to it.

His words ring as true today as they did 2,500 years ago; and
yet, times have changed. Today's level of popular consciousness
is far beyond that of the relatively dark times of 2,500 years
ago. Today, detachment is still excellent advice, but we can do
so much more now to consciously transform the old ways of
darkness.

Physical darkness is the absence of physical light. The
darkness itself is not real. It is merely an absence of
something that is real. Likewise, spiritual darkness is the
absence of spiritual light. Spiritual darkness itself is not
real. It is merely an absence of something that is real.

Evil is an illusion because a shadow is not a real thing.
Light is the real thing. A shadow is an illusion caused by the
absence of light. The only reality, the only real power, is
light itself.

Darkness can only exist in hiding from the light. When light
shines in, it dissipates the darkness, making it obvious where
the real power lies. Evil has no power in itself. It is only a
lack of light. The real power is, and always has been, with the
light and not with the shadow.

If you sense darkness, add light.

If you sense pain, add the light of healing energy.

If you sense hatred, add the light of love.

If you sense despair, add the light of hope and trust in the
goodness of that from which we came and that to which we are
returning.

The Nature of Spiritual Light

Spiritual light, in its fundamental form, is the omnipresent
consciousness of the Creator. When intertwined with the
unconditional love of the Creator and set into motion, it
manifests as the universe.

Filters can block spiritual light. Such filters include fear,
hatred, judgment, conflict and despair. That which engenders
any of these is, therefore, promoting darkness. Darkness in
consciousness affects mind, body and spirit.

When spiritual light is channeled through the human mind, it
adds to the light of the world. Darkness can be healed
through the addition of spiritual light.

While spiritual light is universally available in all
frequencies, it has to flow through human consciousness in
order to affect the human realm of consciousness. The
effectiveness of sending healing spiritual light into an area
that needs it is subject to the following two laws.

The Laws of Spiritual Light

1. The transformative ability of spiritual light is
proportional to the frequency of the consciousness used to
project it.

Explanation: Conditioning the intent with any agenda lowers
the frequency. Projecting pure spiritual light for the
unconditioned purpose of healing raises the frequency and the
potential.

2. The amount of spiritual light projected is proportional to
the degree of openness of the chakra through which it flows.

Explanation: Your thoughts flow from you to the outside world
through the appropriate chakra. Spiritual practices develop the
chakras, increasing your capability as a channel for spiritual
light.

Pluto is Finally Moving into Capricorn

What does this mean? Pluto represents extremes and destruction, and Capricorn rules (among other things) governments, finance and the global economy. Pluto destroys anything that is not in the highest and best interest of all. When a planet changes signs, the current cycle is destroyed and opens up a brand new cycle. It means that an opportunity is being created for a complete restructuring of the global economy.

Pluto will move completely into Capricorn on November 26th and stay there until 2024. The world is changing and reorganizing. The aftermath promises a brighter and better, more honest and humane system of government and finances. Just remember, it's always darkest before the dawn. Let the chips fall so we can pick up the pieces and move on.

Ahhhhh, thank goodness for these celestial forces that cannot be manipulated by humans!
